Nope....not making that kind of list. The list I'm talking about is a checklist with the many items you will find at our First People's Celebration, coming up in less than a week!
Are you ready to see some music performances?
Are you ready to read our Native American inspired "How Come Tales?" and find out potential reasons behind why the Bulldog has a short tail, or how the Zebra got his stripes? These stories come complete with our Storyteller dolls that were created in art class.
Are you ready to learn more about tribes such as the Nez Perce, Hopi and Iroquois by reading reports and seeing realistic villages?
You can see all this and much more on Tuesday the 15th (which also happens to be Jenna's birthday!) at 1:30pm in the Commons.
Also, I am happy to announce that we will indeed be taking a field trip to the Pequot Museum in Mashantucket, CT the Thursday after we return from our winter vacation. This will be an all-day field trip. The 4th grade teachers are very excited about this trip! We spent Veteran's Day at the museum checking it out, and even back in mid-November, the next available opening they had for our group was not until our January date. Apparently schools from as far away as Pennsylvania come up to see the museum. It really is an awesome experience.
Take care! ~ Mrs. Lawless
