Triplets?

Nope - we don't have triplets in the classroom, just three friends who wanted to make a pigtail statement!

How is Little House on the Prairie going? I admitted to the class that when I was younger, I did not really care for the book. This time around I am realizing how full of adventure it is! Luckily, Jack the bulldog survived. Chapter 2 was very upsetting.

Please let me know if the book is too much of a struggle at home and we can get the story on the Ipods to read-along with. I have tried to break down the text as much as possible (no assignment is more than 14 pages), but when I stay for homework club I can see that it is still not an easy task. Feedback is welcome and appreciated!

Starting next week we are going to make the switch to "Cursive Tuesdays and Thursdays". All of us have neater cursive than printing, thanks to the Handwriting Without Tears program. I feel that if we don't encourage the students to use it they will never chose to on their own. Through this, they may find that they actually prefer it!
